From the website:
"What does it take to lead in the 21st Century? A first-hand understanding of one of the greatest drivers of change on the planet.  Schwarzman Scholars is located at the heart of the worlds largest growth economy--a society with an increasing influence on future global affairs: China

Great leaders look forward.  They see seismic shifts that drive industry, that shape world affairs, that transform everything.   What do they see in the 21st century?: China.   The world newest global economic superpower still has a long way to grow.   By 2030, China will be home to 1 of every 6 people on the planet, 17 of the 50 largest cities, to more college graduates than the entire U.S.. workforce.    But it's not just a numbers game because China is truly different in its development and its culture.  The point is this: no matter what field, no matter where you live in the future, those who will lead in the future must understand China today.
