Earn a Masters of Modern Chinese Studies at Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) invites college graduates with an interest in China to apply to their two-year master program in Modern Chinese Studies. This program is taught entirely in English and expands students’ knowledge and understanding of methodologies used to study the humanities in modern China, as well as their skills in interdisciplinary research. Students can choose one of three concentrations. Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History, or Chinese Philosophy.

Prospective students can apply to have their tuition and living expenses fully funded by the Chinese Government Scholarship or the Shanghai Government Scholarship. Scholarship Applicants must apply before March 31, 2019, in order to be considered. Students who intend to pay tuition themselves have until May 31 to apply.

1) Complete the Chinese Government Scholarship application online at https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login, then apply for the SJTU Masters in Modern Chinese Studies through the International Students Application Portal at http://apply.sjtu.edu.cn/

2) Complete the Shanghai Government Scholarship application online at http://study.shmec.gov.cn/, then apply for the SJTU Masters in Modern Chinese Studies through the International Students Application Portal at http://apply.sjtu.edu.cn/
